There are a few options available to you when and even before you make your journey. Most of us have booked a cab over the phone or gone to the taxi rank outside of the airport in the hopes that firstly, it wouldn’t cost an arm and a leg to get home, and secondly, that there is a cab available when we get there. You could get a pre-booked private transfer through the airport; it’s simple and relatively hassle-free, and you know it’ll be there waiting for you on the other side. Another option and a popular one is to book an Uber; it’s not great because you don’t know how much it will be paying before you book it and best of all it’s all paid for before setting foot outside. You could even book your cab through the travel agent when booking your trip, one thing about doing it this way is you’re relying on the fact that the taxi driver doesn’t overcharge you since you’re a tourist. One option which I’ve used is to pre-book through your local cab company. I traveled to Canada from Nevada City California to Sacramento International Airport and didn’t fancy taking my chances outside trying to hail a cab or waiting for one to appear outside. Lastly, when you’re at the airport, there’s a high possibility that local companies have put up posters advertising their services, these may have prices to local towns or cities with costs and the number on it too. In some airports, you may find a taxi stand or a phone which will go directly to them.
